Robert Martson and Associates, New York, New York, received the top honor for their video PSA, entitled The Odd Couple. The PSA was developed by Dave Detmers and Jeff Christensen of LifeScan Inc, to increase awareness of the need for people with diabetes to regularly test their blood glucose levels.
Hager Sharp Inc, Washington, District of Columbia, received the top honor for their audio PSA, Future Generations. The PSA was created to increase awareness about the seriousness of diabetes among Native Americans and to promote the benefits of controlling the disease.
Social and Health Services, Ltd., Rockville, Maryland, received the top honor top honor for their website, http://www.surgeongeneral.gov. This website introduces the work of the Surgeon General, engages the public in major public health concerns, and offers the public the opportunity to communicate with the Surgeon General as well as participate in raising awareness in their communities about improving health and well being.
