Award for Excellence in Human Research Protection
Committees

To guide the Award program, Health Improvement Institute has established an Award Advisory Board. To assist with implementation of the Award program, the Institute has also established the following committees:

The Institute selects committee chairs from among interested participants and has established a structured process to select members of each committee.

Judges Credentialing Committee establishes criteria for credentialing judges and selecting judges to serve on Award judging panels; evaluates applications to become a judge for the Award program; and advises the Institute regarding appropriate policies and procedures relating to these matters. The Institute's president selects the committee chair and members. To view charter; members

Award Judging Committee exists for each Award. These committees establish criteria for their respective Award categories; review the results from judges who evaluate the award entries, and, when necessary, make the final winner selection; and advise the Institute regarding appropriate policies and procedures relating to these matters. The Institute's president selects each committee chair and members (who are generally credentialed judges). To view charter; members

Awards Steering Committee provides advice and feedback to the Award program coordinator and staff on operational matters. The committee consists primarily of chairs of other committees and facilitates communication among them. To view charter; members
